MANFROTTO 501 HDV

Inside the 501HDV is a powerful new feature that takes its inspiration from our top professional video head models – a fixed counterbalance spring (set for a typical weight of camera + accessories of 2.5kg) that helps ensure both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety even when tilt locks are inadvertently left off. The easy-to-reach on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be disengaged or re-engaged for different filming setups. But from the outside, the first thing that you’ll notice about the new 501HDV video head is its updated design – completely retuned for much improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow a more solid grip and better fingertip control. The 501HDV inherits its separate pan and tilt locks, gradual tilt friction adjustment system, fl at base (with standard 3/8” thread), quick release camera plate and repositionable pan bar from its successful predecessor. MANFROTTO 503 HDV

The 503HDV has a completely new ergonomic, easy-to-use, functional design; features include large ergonomic locks and knobs allowing for a more solid grip and better control. For enhanced ease of use, the tilt lock and friction controls are located on the left side of the head.It has an improved and adjustable counterbalance capacity: a switch controls the different counterbalance settings, allowing the user to adjust the system to accommodate various payloads for different filming needs. The counterbalance system can be adjusted to four positions ensuring both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety. In addition, it has an illuminated levelling bubble - making it easy for shooters to level the camera in low-light conditions. MANFROTTO 516

Specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders used by documentary and industrial videographers. The 516 head is very compact and light but can support cameras up to 10 kg. The 516 is a cost effective high performance head equipped with fluid cartridges that provide continuous adjustable drag control. This system gives quite a wide range of friction control down to virtual zero drag and operates on both pan and tilt axis. Other important features of the head are: separate tilt and pan locking mechanism; a fixed counter balance spring of 7,5 kg load capacity at a center of gravity of 125mm; two telescopic pan handles; a bubble level. The head has been designed so it can be mounted on a flat base tripod with a 3/8" female thread attachment or by attaching the ART 500BALL to the head base, allowing it to fit a 100mm bowl.
